How might we represent identity and reassurance in a custom headboard?

The client's personal style leaned gothic, dark, and architectural. The main constraint was the extreme simplicity of their current self-assembled furniture.

The Amiens Cathedral was my inspiration

Emphasis on- 

  • Repeating patterns

  • Pointed arch motif 

  • Flying buttress

  • Multiple “layers”

  • Strong foundation

  • Protective feeling associated with church
